IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theodora H
Trawick
June 21, 1941 – November 10, 2025
I AM CONFIDENT, I SAY, AND WILLING RATHER TO BE ABSENT FROM THIS BODY, AND TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD." II CORINTHIANS 5:8
It is with a shout of joy and a grateful heart that I say "see you in the morning" to all those I leave behind! For I knew that if this old earthly body gave out, that I had a building from God, eternal in the Heavens, not made by man's hands. I have overcome the world because my faith did not stand in the wisdom of man but in the power of God.
It is with profound sadness that J.H. Jones Funeral Home & Cremations announces the passing of Mrs. Theodora Trawick of Milledgeville, Georgia.
She entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Theodora's Story
Theodora Trawick, affectionately called "Granny," was born on June 21, 1941, in Putnam County, Georgia, to the late Lewis Hartwell, Sr., and Lillian Hartwell.
She received her education in the public schools of Putnam and Baldwin Counties. Theodora accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Rock Mill Baptist Church, where she served diligently until her health declined. During the pandemic, she continued to grow in faith through the Bible Revival Ministry's online Bible Studies.
She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Joseph Trawick on March 21, 1961
Theodora dedicated many years to McGraw Laboratory, where she served as a line supervisor known for her leadership, reliability, and attention to detail. After retiring for health reasons, she continued to share her compassion and energy through the Grandparent Program, located at Eagle Ridge Elementary School, where she found great joy in nurturing and supporting young children as they grew and thrived.
Theodora loved cheering for the Atlanta Braves and watching her favorite show, "Tracker." Her warmth, wisdom, and laughter touched everyone she met, and her presence will be laughter touched everyone she met, and her presence will be deeply missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three devoted children, Euniece Hartwell, Bertram Trawick (Elois Warren), and Octavias Trawick (Abigail) of Milledgeville, GA, and son-n-law, Charles Calhoun of Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sherry Calhoun of Macon, Georgia.
Theodora is survived by three brothers, Leon Mitchell, of Eatonton, GA, Chester Hurt of Milledgeville, GA, and Alginette Hurt (Akilah) of Warner Robbins, GA; and five sisters, Mildred Pitt of Warner Robbins, GA, Evelyn Huff, and Carolyn Hartwell of Milledgeville, GA, Vanessa Holmes of Radcliff, KY, and Patricia Howell (Troy) of Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Hartwell and Eugene Hartwell.
Her legacy of love and faith continues through a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
