. It is with profound sadness that J.H. Jones Funeral Home & Cremations announces the passing of Mr. George E. Jarrette, Jr.

Mr. Jarrette entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 3, 2026. He was a native of Milledgeville, Georgia, and a longtime educator in the public school system.

Mr. Jarrette is survived by his three children, Sharon Jarrette Jackson, Bernard Jarrette, and Daphne Jarrette; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Leslie Jarrette Wilcher; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM at J.H. Jones Funeral Home & Cremations.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church,

 321 North Wilkinson St., Milledgeville, Georgia.

The funeral cortege will leave from the Jarrette family home at 241 West Hall St., Milledgeville, GA 31061 at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
